Alpharetta, GA Oral Surgery Financing Options

Insurance and Billing

As your oral health provider, we request that you provide us with your dental and/or medical insurance information when you call to schedule your inital appointment. As a courtesy to you, we will make every attempt to verify insurance benefits prior to your appointment. However, we ask that you also speak with your insurance company regarding the necessary procedures so that you have the highest understanding possible of your benefits. Verification of benefits is not a guarantee of payment.

Our Office Policy Regarding Insurance

If we have received all of your insurance information on the day of the appointment, we will be happy to file your claim for you. We file all insurance claims within days of treatment. You are responsible for any balance on your account after your insurance company has completed processing your claim. We will be glad to send a refund to you if your insurance pays more than estimated on the treatment plan.

Insurance is meant to be an aid in receiving care. Many patients think that their insurance pays 90%-100% of all fees, when in actuality most plans only pay between 50%-80% of the average total fee. Some pay more, some pay less, and the percentage paid is determined by the type of contract your employer has set up with the insurance company.

Sometimes your insurance company reimburses at a lower rate than the actual fee charged. Often times, insurance companies state that the reimbursement was reduced because your fee has exceeded the "usual and customary" fee used by the insurance company.

Lastly, please keep us informed of any insurance changes such as policy name, insurance company address, or a change of employment.
